MODULE 01: CREATING AN ACADEMIC BLOG

In this blog, I want to share what I think and learn from the very first module from the course. 


Being a teacher, I always encourage myself to explore and implement a variety of tools to help my students having better learning experience. Unlike previous generations, I find that most students require more interactive, collaborative and technology-based environment, in which they can keep up with trends and have fun while acquiring knowledge. In my opinion, learning is not a “listen, repeat, and check” process, instead, it is a path that you go and collect practical things for your life and you use what you learn to improve yourself. 

Learning to create an academic blog with the help of Blogger has been such a wholesome experience. I have learnt to establish an online place where my students can share their reflections after each lesson or  their learning journals, and even learning strategies and tips. Numerous people can benefit from this, not only the learners themselves, but other audience and teachers also have chances to get connected to each other so that a learning community can be formed to assist and support everyone who are learning languages.


Despite my thought, Blogger was quite simple and convenient. To use this platform, I have noticed instructions in different buttons, then I have tried and learnt to use them. I failed some times, yet I get used to it now. It had better that newbies try and possibly fail a few times because after that, users can swiftly discover the usage and be competent.  My own blog is not flawless; otherwise, I think it still needs improvements and feedbacks from my viewers. Therefore I hope to receive comments so that I can make a better future blog.
