MODULE 02: THE ABCD LEARNING OBJECTIVES FRAMEWORK AND EFFECTIVE WEB SEARCHING

In the second module, the knowledge that I remembered the most was the ABCD learning objectives model because I will have to use it multiple times during this course and also in my daily teaching lessons.

It could be clearly seen that ABCD model had four components namely Audience, Behavior, Condition and Degree. To be specific, the Audience element described the target audience or the group of individuals that the learning objectives were designed for (Often, my audience will be my students). And, one thing should be noticed was that when writing the Audience for the objectives, teacher had to specify the proficiency level of students as well, so that he/she could outline the appropriate actions or behaviors that learners would be able to demonstrate in the Behavior component. These actions and behaviors had to be observable and measurable.

In terms of Condition component, it illustrated the circumstances or conditions under which the learners would demonstrate the specified behavior, including important resources, tools, or constraints that influenced learning process. And about Degree factor, it indicated the level of mastery or proficiency that learners are expected to achieve or defined the criteria for success in demonstrating the specified behavior. When creating objectives for a lesson, I always used the "measurable verbs" from Bloom's Taxonomy, so that my objectives could become clearer and more understandable to readers, avoiding vagueness and confusion.

Mentioning effective websites for searching, there were three webs that I would like to recommend to my readers.

First of all, YouTube was an amazing platform when it came to finding vivid videos for your lessons. It was a huge source of free videos that users could choose from, for example, music videos, science exploration videos, and so on.

Secondly, Quora brought so much assistance as a search engine and a social network. In this platform, you can ask and answer multiple topics interesting you; numerous experts also joined the site to help you with your problems and questions, so the provided information is worth watching and using.

Lastly, I often used Pinterest to search for images for my PowerPoint and I could assure you that there were millions of pictures you would love to have in your slides to make them eye-catching and appealing to your audience.

These are all the things I want to write to you in my blog. Thank you for your reading, and please, look forwards to my next blog for more interesting ideas and knowledge!!!
